French Dip

 

1 3-4 lb boneless chuck roast

1 beef bouillon cube

1 bay leaf

1/2 teaspoon rosemary

1 teaspoon thyme

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/2 cup soy sauce

10-12 French sandwich rolls

cheese like provolone or havarti, optional

 

Place roast in crock pot. Add seasoning. Add soy sauce. Add enough water to cover roast. Cook on low 7-8 hours until very tender.

Remove roast from crock pot. Shred with fork.

Strain broth through a sieve.

Assemble sandwiches. Use broth for dipping.
